without you now video project - tuesday 10/02/04

oh, this has been a long time in the making, and it still has a long way to go! it's also been a very strange creative process in which i've taken a hugely recessed back seat, and sat and watched, helping wherever I can!

the actual purpose of this video is as a university student's final year art project. in fact, it's the same person who sang on the track (lise, for those in the know!), so it's been an interesting experience. to get it to the current stage of 'completion' took three weeks solid work of filming and editing, and it still has a way to go. currently, rather than being a 'music video', it's a seven minute 'film' (i use the term very loosely) attempting to examine some of the connections between sound (mostly music) and image. it's really been a learning experience on how to edit sounds after an event to fit an image, and play with music to fit the same. it's final version will be even more of an intergrated collage of music and image for the final year show, which shall, of course, end up here on the site!
